On Wednesday the 5th December, we got really excited about new stock arriving in.  Dr Seuss has been popular in our household, especially The Cat In the Hat.  COnrad and Sally meet the anthropomorphic humanoid Cat in a Hat (Mike Myers) in a red and white striped hat and a dickie bow tie. christmas, store news -

Thanks to all the residents and visitors who came and shopped with us this Saturday 1st December at www.rippondenfestival.uk. The day was a great success for us and we had a great time. The laser show and fireworks were fantastic and we would like to give a special shout out to Gin Bar Box who were a few stalls down from us offering great artisan beverages. Three Fiends also gets a shout out! We saw some great varied and original products from some very enterprising people. It was a very thriving atmosphere and we were grateful to be part of it....

Charles Monroe Shulz, or Sparky to his friends was regarded as one of the most influential cartoonists of all time.   I fondly remember the short but fun strips in the newspaper when I was growing up.  From his single panel jokes entitled 'Lil Folks' from 1947, lasting 3 years in the St Paul Pioneer Press to publications in the Saturday Evening Post, a total of 17 drawings published in the Post over this 2 year period, you could say that it was somewhat humble begginings for Shulz.
